Desktop Scheduling
Namu
Add ability to schedule runs to be executed in the Chrome extension
This is a commonly requested feature, but there's a major downside to desktop scheduling: It's fundamentally unreliable because the computer might be asleep / Chrome may be closed. As a result, users may be unpleasantly surprised when they expect a run to occur but it doesn't. In contrast, cloud scheduling doesn't have this issue because everything is run in the cloud.
Regardless, it may still be useful to provide this ability for users who want to run flows directly on their own computers for whatever reason.
If you'd like this feature, please leave a comment answering the following questions:
- What task are you trying to automate?
- Is there a reason you'd prefer scheduling this locally instead of running in the cloud?

- Every task that need to reproduce the exact human behavior and ensure that the results shown are the same
- For some antibot protection system, it is easier to bypass on Desktop versions
And of course, do not send some credentials in the Cloud.

This would be helpful in an agency use-case where the agency doesn't want to put their customer logon credentials in the cloud.

Namu: well this would be good for people who have a windows virtual private server. Which would always be on anyway so.

Namu: Of course, but there are some solution to avoid a computer to be asleep and Chrome to be closed.
